Fashion: Our Design Trip … India
We spent a month in India this year sourcing fabrics and designing a Womenswear A/W11 Collection for a Brand.
Our fabric sourcing took us to Ahmedabad, Delhi and Mumbai. Fabrics were amazing and in every colour and texture imaginable, we were in Heaven!
Next we flew back to Ahmedabad and then a 6 hour drive to the factory located in Porbandar where Mahatma Gandhi was born, lucky for us we were there for Holi the Indian festival of colour. Porbandar is very remote with few westerners (we saw 2 in 3 weeks) we felt like rock stars, as everyone would stop and stare. One day Talita wore a skirt just above the knee and brought the whole town to a standstill, she never wore a skirt again!!! x
