Must Have Shoes for Spring 2013

Despite the recent cold snap we are having, spring is just around the corner. It’s never too early to sartorially prepare for the slowly warming weather–especially when it comes to footwear. So, without further ado–here are our must have shoes for spring:

Acne Alma Suede Boots

These Acne Alma Suede Boots are a gorgeous shade of yellow, sure to brighten up any wardrobe. Made out of suede, this ankle boot is warm enough for the still-thawing weather but bright enough to usher in the warmer days of spring.

Balenciaga Cut Out Detail Ankle Boots

The Balenciaga Cut-Out Detail Ankle Boot is a decidedly sexy heel. A re-imagined ankle boot, the shoe is a perfect mixture of cold-weather aesthetic and a cut-out design meant for the warmer months. I really enjoy the wrap around construction and revealing opening–which make this heel a great transition piece for between seasons.

A summery update on the classic oxford wedge, this shoe by Tabitha Simmons will make you lust for the beach with its nautical stripes and espadrille heel–while still being warm enough for those chillier spring days.

Valentino Rockstud Heel

I’m a big fan of the stud. These shoes are the perfect combination of grown-up heel and punk aesthetic. An added bonus? The heel size is mid-range and the ankle strap provides extra support–making these a good choice for those who need a little more comfortable footwear option.

Marc Jacobs BlueSahara

These Marc Jacob heels are comfortable enough to wear everyday to work–yet pack a powerful, colorful punch. The bright, contrasting patent leather screams spring and is on trend with this season’s color-blocking aesthetic.

Delicate laser-cut flats–these Shelly Ballerinas by Salvatore Ferragamo are perfect go-to shoes. Light and fresh and right in line with this season’s biggest trend–florals–these flats are sure to add a needed dose of spring into your winter wardrobe.

Marc Jacobs Black And White Patent Leather Lace Up Flats

I’m not going to lie–I could never walk in these shoes. However, I am in awe of anyone who can pull off these modern heels–sporting the silhouette of the moment. This exaggerated shoe in magenta is perfect for spring with it’s edgy shape and bright color.
